The Census and Excise forum really need to be more exposed

I read one of MD's posts and I agree, the CnE mod definitely need a revival and I too have played the CnE mod, but that was more than 5 years ago I think.

I even posted a request for a sequal mod of the CnE mod for Oblivion and what I recall is that that's doable, but it requires a OBSE-plugin and to my knowledge no one ever tried to create one.

Anyway, the CnE mod forum probably need a separate forum category in order to be fully exposed, but it does need to be moved up a bit in the forum structure and not be a nestled subforum deep down among other subforums.

I'm not sure how you would go about reviving C&E.  I'm not saying its perfect, but most of the functionality it was intended for is there.  A total overhaul would seem like a waste of time considering how few people are playing MW these days.

I do think the IP Ban feature should be removed.  I understand it's purpose, but I can't help but wonder how many people stopped using C&E specifically because they got IP Banned and didn't want to deal with it.  It seems like a common issue.

The fact that we got C&E for Morrowind is incredible - I wouldn't expect one for another ES game in the near future.  It requires someone with web database (I'm assuming PHP and SQL?) knowledge in addition to general modding knowledge (mostly scripting).  It also needs a server to run it.  Fliggerty was one of very few people who met the criteria to even have a chance a getting it to work.  I'm pretty well versed in a variety of programming languages in addition to HTML, but I wouldn't know where to start with something like PHP/SQL.  In addition, he was already running a professional website so he already had something to run it off of.  Imagine most people would probably have to pay money to keep the website up.  Don't think we'll see one for OB/SK ever really.

We both know that Fliggerty might know how Papyrus scripting works in the CK, so I think a CnE sequel for Skyrim, probably both SLE and SSE, is feasible to do.

Think the IP ban feature is an evil necessity and needs to stay, just as a security measure.

Yeah, you're right about Fliggerty he do have knowledge about PHP programming, otherwise he wouldn't build the current MMH site from scratch in how many months was it is I think it was about 6-8 months.

If Fliggerty mean to re-arrange the forum, which I think most people here would agree to, and the current forum structure for GHF hasn't changed since 2012 I think.

I know there have been a discussion in the past about merging certain of subforums e.g 3rd Party, MGE, MWSE into one subforum due for having less activity.

Doing that could move up the C&E subforum a bit, which is one option to let the C&E mod forum to be more exposed.

The way I see it is that the C&E mod is what any game community needs to have.  For example, AFK Mods now has the Unofficial game patches for FO4, Oblivion, both versions of Skyrim, and that attracts a lot of people.
