Board downtime

Due to a hardware issue, GHF and her affiliate sites were down for a few days. Fligg has managed to repair the hardware and bring the board back up, but we ran into an issue of some users being removed from the database and some posts being moved into other topics than the one they were originally posted to. If you're account is missing, please use the contact us form. If you've recently started a thread and it's not showing up, please let us know here. Thank you.

Some mod upload THREADS may also have been affected.  All mod uploads (that we know of) were completed and approved with no issues, the only issue we discovered was with a release thread, which has now been restored.  Please let us know if we overlooked something.

It seems that viewtopic.php?f=50&t=5366&view=unread#unread is messed up still with the title/content.

IDK if this is related or not, but I notice that my total posts seems to be affected by the recent downtime.  It could also be that some of my posts (most likely my posts in staff room) has been deleted in the past 1-2 weeks.

If my posts wasn't deleted in the staff room then it could be something else.

Ok, I've been having an issue with the inbox.   It keeps saying I have x amount of new messages.   Before, its only said 1-3 and when I went there it turns out I didn't have any.  But...now I apparently have 10 new messages.  When I click on my inbox it fixes itself and says I have 0 again but the next day it mucks up again.

This is probably related to the MMH automatic messages that you get when someone submits a mod. I approved something like 6 mods last night before I went to bed, and when I got up this morning there were 4 messages in my inbox. and only two mods needing approval in MMH. When  mod that needs approval gets approved the message is removed from the in box, and since the stewards have been slowly reduced the responsibility I guess rests with the Magisters (a good reason to get you a mouth). When the messages are removed from your inbox, it does not necessarily reset the count. This may need looking at. but most of the High Magisters are busy with RL stuffs, and so is Fliggerty so please bare with it for a little longer.

Yes, that is exactly what it is.  Since we no longer have non-staff Stewards, all staff members have been added to the Steward group.  Approval notifications are sent to all staff members' inboxes and are subsequently deleted when the mods have been approved.

As far as fixing the count, I don't foresee that as being high priority when Fligg has time to fix it, but it can certainly be put on the list.

If its just the staff that has to deal with it, no big deal. :p

Exactly the same thing happen earlier today and I also notice that GHF Status Site is no longer available, so now we cannot keep us our self updated when a site e.g MMH, GHF forum is down due to a common server issue etc.

I thought people should know about this.
