I must say I'm quite confused by the diction in this article. It seems Gearbox is swaying back and forth saying "We are going to make Borderlands 3" and "We are not making borderlands 3". All the article really says is they are not presently working on a game with the title of "Borderlands 3". This is quite shocking. Borderlands 1 was iffy on whether they were going to get a sequel or not, but after borderlands 2 how can there not be a sequel. The game's ratings were off the charts, almost no one had any complaints about it - it was perfect. Only problem is after beating it 500 times we need something...new. But they're scraping the game franchise? I don't get it...
My best bet is they're saying goodbye to the franchise, but lightly, as to not upset their fans. I've never been more surprised about not having a sequel released. I'd be less surprised if Activision quit making Call of Duties...
