I looked up spliff...there is way too much drug slang. I can't keep up...good thing I don't need to.

Yesterday I learned that my fear of crowds is still as bad as ever and I had thought I was getting better.

Today I learned that facing my fears is still as hard as it ever was and I thought that was getting easier too.

I also learned today that I'm a bitch when I want a cigarette, but I'm remembering one of my mother's two classic pieces of advice: "This, too, shall pass." I will overcome this stress somehow...I may require chocolate though. LOL

Edit: Oh wow, 30 seconds after I posted this, my husband walks in the room with a chocolate fudgesicle and asked if I wanted one. I don't think that has ever happened before. LOL

Dragon, you have no idea how painfully apropos both of those are right now in my life.

On topic: I learned that what I thought apropos actually meant is what it means and that I've been misspelling it all this time until now. I felt the need to look it up to make sure I was using the word I meant to use because I hate using the wrong words and risk looking like an idiot.

I have always wondered what that word meant as well, though I have always thought of it as being like 'appropriate'.

I learned about Muffinwind.  How could I have never seen or heard of it before?
"Shine your light on me,
Illuminate my dark places.
Free me of my past
And let my soul fly to yours."

1) You want it, you make it.
2) You don't like it, don't play it.
3) If you make it and you like it, don't listen to anyone else.

Just when you think you've heard of every big morrowind project  :chinscratch:

I recently learned of Arktwend Morrowind total conversion.  Its no longer the elder scrolls but a completely new place, with the same mechanics.  I will have to try it sometime.

The sky calls to us, if we do not destroy ourselves.  We will one day venture to the stars.

How lucky we are to live in this time, the first moment in human history when we are in fact visiting other worlds.

A still more glorious dawn awaits.

Not a sunrise, but a galaxyrise.

A morning filled with four hundred billion suns.

The rising of the Milky Way.

Muffinwind and Snakes on a Plane(Of Oblivion) are my two absolute favorite MW quest mods.

I think, just maybe, they were made by the same bunch. I don't remember the author of Muffinwind, but I know, way back in the day, we had a mighty discussion about it on the Forum of the Dead. Then Torgulf showed up out of nowhere, decided our little talks about how 6 dragons might have sex and who's father would be involved weren't worth keeping around, and shut the place down. There were some good music suggestions there, though.

Anyway, both of those mods were discussed. Muffinwind originated somewhere in that vicinity, or a little ways between the FotteD and 4chan. Snakes was in theory on The Day Torgulf Came Back, IIRC. That was way back, though...

Today I learned a few things.
a. Snakes on a Plane (of Oblivion) was made.
b. Miserina is well and truly nuts, but in a mildly inspired way. Only mildly, though.
c. Leslie Nielson is funny (this I already knew). Funnier than most comedians, funnier than any other actor. He's a very funny man. I watched Stan Helsing the other night and Dracula: Dead and Loving It tonight. Which leads me to... Mel Brooks isn't. Not funny. Not a funny man. That movie isn't so funny. Spy Hard, pretty good. Naked Gun, yes, funny. Stan Helsing, sure, good for a laugh. Dracula... No.
The one with Keanu Reeves is funnier.

Rain makes for the sleepiest sleep ever.

I had just had a significant amount of soda, straight from a 2 Liter, so I hardly got any sleep.  It was only like seven hours and not even that restful, but when I woke up after a few hours, it was raining.  I rolled over, stretched some, smushed my head into my pillow and my dreams continued while I was halfway awake.  I have not slept like this in months, not since I graduated at least and maybe a while before that.  Being able to set my own schedule and old enough for noone to bug me about it means that I typically get in big twelve hour gulps of sleep which leave me very rested but somehow feel fake to me.

If I could control the weather, I would make it rain like this every day, and I would always drink caffeine before going to bed.  I don't care if I spend the rest of the day running at 75%, this is the way life should be.  I don't feel all bitingly sarcastic and impatient today, it's such a nice change even if I do have to blink the sleepy crap out of my eyes.

I learned that looking through pictures of friends you haven't seen in months on Facebook is an extremely stupid thing to do while you're already feeling kinda sad.

Indeed. And about running on 75%, it's better than running at 125%.
