User BANNED??? :(

I just tried uploading a few times (second upload) and didn't realize what I was doing wrong when I got an error. I forgot to equip the book twice and ready the files...

Anyway I updated the files and now it says user banned, stop try to hack CnE

Any help? I have no intentions of hacking CnE, only showing off my character as I propel him to perfection!

Give it time. That's an error that pops up when you try to upload too often, as a safety measure. The ban is only temporary.

You should be good to go now. If you try to upload too many times in a short period of time, the system sees it as an attack and blocks further attempts.

Sorry, but just a little more help? I havn't an idea what's going wrong. Now that I think of it I don't specifically remember installing the script extender, but it worked the first time so...

EDIT: Oh right that's what MWSE stands for... so what else could it be? I already have MWSE in MGE. (it's a good thing I didn't try installing MWSE)

Which version of C&E are you using? The current version is 1.3.

Give it five minutes (so you don't get banned again   ) and try again.

Fligg's moving stuff around so there might be temporary glitches now and then.

I'm not sure what happened, but I went through the set up with fliggerty again and it worked. Thanks for the help. Do I need to go through set up every time I want to upload?

You shouldn't have to, no. Just make sure you're doing things in the proper order.  Save, use log to gather data, exit, use uploader on the file from step 1, done.

Just post again if it gives you a problem, and we'll sort it out.

Hate to say it, but more problems... I just tried uploading and I'm getting unknown error again. I'm not sure if it's normal but when I equip the book, it always summons fligg, and he  has the original dialogue from the first time uploading. I tried equipping again and updating, but got the upload error when using GHFC. I then tried going through the setting things up thing again  (which worked out b4), and no luck.

Perhaps I was supposed to save after updating and use that save file? B/c When I set it up the first time I created a separate save file and continued to play after loading the original save file.

Yes, you need to save after you've setup the mod and before you upload. Basically, equip the book, run the setup (the first time) or record your stats (after the first setup), save, then upload from that save. That should fix your issue.

When you get an error uploading, it's very helpful if you can write it down and post it.  Also, you might want to print the instructions in the readme and follow them as you record and save the first few times.  It's a great place to write down your userID and PIN as well.  You shouldn't need them after the first setup, but on occasion you might need to make a clean save and set it up again.

In fact, have you added/removed/updated C&E without cleaning the save with Wryemash in between?  Even with MCP, just removing a mod and saving doesn't completely clean out Globals and C&E definitely has globals.

Oh wow I can't believe I missed that bit on the read me, I'v read it more than 10 times. And yeah I did write my pin in the readme, and save it to the morrowind directory.
