Need some tufa formations

Postby morovir on Wed Jul 21, 2010 9:52 pm

Does anyone know where I could find, or would be willing to make, some tufa formations like the ones in Mono Lake?

I could really use some for a geothermal pool area I'm working on.

Thanks!

I am discouraged at the lack of responses to this thread, so I am bumping it for you.

Regrettably, such things are beyond my skills, so I cannot help you. Sorry.

I'm no modeller and haven't been keeping up to date with modders resources since time immemorial, so I can't really help you. You could try to mimic them with cave stalagmites and the like, perhaps with a clever re-texture, though.

It might have something to do with the fact a lot of people have no idea what tufa formations are, so they are just not reading this thread.  It might be a good idea to change the title of the thread to "[Req] Landscape Model/Texture" and then include a brief description and picture of what is being requested.  There are so many threads and so many forums, that many people simply don't even look twice at those whose titles don't immediately make sense.  Some folks who bothered to look at this thread probably didn't follow the link.
"Shine your light on me,
Illuminate my dark places.
Free me of my past
And let my soul fly to yours."

The three golden rules of mods:
1) You want it, you make it.
2) You don't like it, don't play it.
3) If you make it and you like it, don't listen to anyone else.
