Assign Ownership To Me or Resubmit?

Hi! So I am the modder formerly known as DeathBliss. I go by DreamBliss now and have just created an account.

I see that my old mods from Gamespy need cleaning, screenshots and maybe proper filing. I would gladly do this!

I just need to know what you need. Do you want to assign ownership to me, or have me resubmit these, or what?

I also tried to send this message to you through your contact form at MMH. But when I hit the Submit button, nothing happened

Welcome to GHF, DreamBliss!  :dancing-banana:

If you mean PES then go ahead and clean your mods.

I wonder what do you think as a modder we, mod users wants to see?  :chinscratch:

However, if you already know the answer then just do it what you want and wait for feedback from us.

As for sending a message on MMH actually works, it is just that the current server issue (since late Oct-2017) still needs to be fixed and I know Fligg is a busy man in RL.

The Thing about modding history is that we are a museum of sorts, in that we try to preserve every version of every mod that we can get our grubby little mitts on (even that require cleaning), so Modding History doesn't have an update button, so any cleaning of the mods would still require a new upload, and entry to Modding History's data base, which is 100% acceptable.
We can assign ownership of your mods to you, and since you've requested it we will do so. This might take a while though as most of our stewards tend to nap on the job, we can't complain it's all voluntary. Another option would to be to temporarily make you a Modding History Steward where you will have permissions to access your mods, and assign ownership to yourself. We just ask that if you don't want the mods which need cleaning shown publicly to not delete them, though as they are your mods it is your choice, we just like to preserve them all. You'll just have to know when you're finished, should you choose to go that rout.

On the contact forms, your message likely sent, they generally do, but Modding History doesn't have a popup to notify when a message has been sent. I've been harassing Fliggerty to add one for years.

Whichever course is easier for you, go ahead and do that and let me know. Sounds to me like making me a temporary steward would be easiest?

I just need a little clarification... Do you want both the cleaned and uncleaned versions of each of my mods, or is a clean, but otherwise unaltered version acceptable for the museum?

Also, I have a TON of mods I never even opened and tried from 18 years ago. Let me know if you want me to submit any of those, any of them that are missing here or different versions.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I think the best thing right now, is to go ahead, and assign the ownership to you, as Fliggerty is in the middle of revamping Modding History, and people have been having trouble uploading. You may not be able to upload any mods for a bit until Fliggerty finishes the upgrades. Though if you've got mods that you think we need, please hold on to them, and when Fliggerty finishes the update I'll make you a temp steward, and you can have all the fun you want uploading mod that may, or may not be already on Modding History. Making you a temporary steward would also save steward time as the mods do not require approval when uploaded by a steward. We would love to keep the original versions of your mods for preservation's sake.

The thing is that Fliggerty has gotten himself fairly busy over the past ten years or so getting married, and starting a family while dealing with that job thing we all love.

Apologies for not mentioning this earlier, but it had slipped my mind while I was making my previous post.

I beg your patience with us at this time.

OK, so I will have ownership of my old mods, but can't upload, and you want to keep them as they are. So when uploading is working, I just resubmit like a version 2 or something. That sound good? I guess next I should fix things at Nexus.

Yeah I have a LOT of ancient mods others made from nearly two decades ago. I am going through right now to figure out where the houses are for the house mods I have, add a sort of readme where needed, and clean using tes3cmd. Original files in archives are untouched.
