Convince me to become human again (possible spoiler)

Ok so I'm 80 odd hours into the game. I have hardly touched the main quest lines at all and I am currently at level 43, a Nord warrior with some skill in destruction, but mainly a sword/shield hack n slash kinda guy.

Like quite a few players, when I first got to Whiterun I joined the Companions and that storyline was one of the first I completed.
For those of us who have completed this line, we know that howling at the moon has become second nature, and we cant help but look at our fellow townsfolk as potential snacks

I've now been this way since I have started the game, but I cant see any reason to perform the ritual on myself and become a human again...

Why should I change back to being a mere mortal again? What really are the benefits? Apart from getting the well rested bonus after a good nights sleep??

Not worrying about getting hit by a silver weapon. Not worrying about Being spotted while transforming. Not worrying about your immortal soul being stolen by a daedric prince, never to be allowed into the great halls of Sovngarde.

Unless, you already don't worry about that stuff.

Well you never have to transform so the only reason to go back to human would be roleplay (you go to Hircine's realm, not Sovyngard), and the well rested benefit.  Really I'd recommend just staying as a werewolf, I don't think I've ever slept in a bed anyways.

Thanks for your comments guys.
I decided to become human afterall. I got tired of all the guards commenting on my "wolfish grin"... only to find out they still comment on it even being 100% human.
I dont think I ever transformed whilst I had this afliction so its time to concentrate on other areas...

Cheers.

Perhaps it's time to look into porphyric hemophilia?  :sheo:

Oh I hate vampirism in Skyrim.  Its the exact same as Oblivion.  Sneak up on people when they're sleeping to feed?  Really?  Why can't we just kill people and feed on their corpse (assuming the corpse isn't too old) like werewolves?

Flig, I hate to correct you, but the vampirism in Skyrim is caused by Sanguinare Vampiris, not the standard P.H.

Eh...I haven't experienced vampirism in SK yet.  So I was bound to get something about it wrong.  :sheo:

I think that you should have a chance to get a special finishing move if you are a vampire in Skyrim: you bite at the neck of an enemy and drain them, healing yourself and killing them. Kind of like in Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.

The vampiric system would need to be revised though, as some may not want to get back to stage 1 as a result of the finishing move, so an absorb or fortify health would be the optimal effect.

I don't really use my werewolf form at all...However I see no reason to turn back...
Thats ok, Both Vampires and I hear Werewolves are going to be upgraded with Sunguard...
though think about it this way, with as many things as you are doing for Daedric Princes, not to mention the theives guild.... there'll be quite a fight over your soul when you die...

Better Vampires by Brehanin 5_7
Belua Sanguinare Revisited - Dynamic Vampires by MofoMojo and Jakisthe

Not quite Cortex's Vampire Embrace, but both do well in their own right.  Unless you prefer vanilla, of course.
