Ways to make New Vegas run a little smoother

In Fallout 3 I remember having at least 10 different tweaks to make the games performance run much smoother.  I have not found any that I know for certain work with New Vegas.  If you have any post them and i'll add them to the OP so I can have a nice list of ways to make NV run smoother.

I just finished Dead Money, and was ponderin' the same thing. Am I the only one that gets lag with keystrokes? It makes timed running jumps painful, and there's about half a second to a second of lag from the time I press a movement key before I actually move, and this is with 20+ FPS.

It depends on the mods you are using.  In Fallout 3 I had a huge problem with lagg because I ran MMM increased increased spawns.  All I use normally with New Vegas is Lucky 38 house expansion, and Excaliber Book of Earchae (my favorite mod for both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, although it was better in Fallout 3).

Dead Money was great but once again Fallout producers are too lazy to give you a good reward for the huge main quest.  Bottlecaps do not count as rewards.  Weapons and armor, do.

True. I managed to get all 37 **** out though, and trap ******** in the *********, what I hated, was being able to go straight back into the casino, and not being able to see your companions one last time, they just vanish.

I wish Bethesda would release an official patch that actually made the game easier to play. After a while, the unofficial patches will probably start appearing.

Or not being able to go back...

I think using RTS there would have been awesome...... Mixed with a version of Enclave Commander of course.
