Morrowind construction set

Hi everyone,
Unless I'm wrong, it seems to me that nobody has ever uploaded the Construction Set installer here. Why is that?
It's currently available on the Nexus but the nexus demand that people create an account and most of the time the newcomers do not look close enough to notice that they can create an account for free and they pay, for something that is free.
Wouldn't be good that you make the CS available here?

Why it is uploaded on Nexus has to do with Steam, because Morrowind CS is for the retail version only and cannot be downloaded from any site including Bethesda.net.

That's why and that is also posted about on the old BSF forum.  Besides the CS upload on Nexus only works for the Steam version IIRC.

Did you verify that? Installed the game from the cd and try the CS as proposed on the Nexus?

And anyway, that CS works perfectly with the version Bethesda just released for free, probably  because it's that version Bethesda transmitted to Valve so they upload it on Steam. Many people could need it and uploading it here seems so logical; this place is almost only dedicated to Morrowind...

It is.  And GHF is a well known Morrowind community site.  Also, as GHF is known and so is Fliggerty, a well known and respected Morrowind modder who always have been accommodating to anyone he meets.

While free to download and use, the CS EULA does not allow it to be uploaded. If Bethesda were to upload it to MMH and give us distribution permission, we could host it. But they have not, so we do not and cannot.

I see.

They would probably allow you to upload it here, if you asked permission to Bethesda. The link to the Nexus page of the CS is posted on a regular basis on their forums (I posted it myself a few days ago) and nobody out there ever complained about that.

I think we can upload the CS patch for Steam on MMH since the patch already exist on Nexus.
