1st Person Helm View version 1.1a a MGE mod by Darknut, with alot of help from Timeslip.
this Mod "REQUIRES" MGE 2.5 or later to run.
this mod "REQUIRES" Tribunal & Bloodmoon to be installed.
*** What it Does ***
This Mod adds a 1st person view to most, but not all helmets in the game.
there were 2 reason for this.
1: The helm style is such that it doesn't need a 1st person view added.
2: There was already a script attached to the helm by default, I did not mess with any of those.
Only default MW helms are affected there are no "modded" armor helms included. (that will come later)
Some of the helms have extra features:
*** chitin_helmet *** *Special Feature* Telephoto zoom
Hold down the left mouse button for the "ZOOM" feature ( Zoom is disabled if you have a weapon or spell readied)
*** Moragtong & Darkbrotherhood helms *** *Special Feature* Telephoto zoom & Nightvision
Hold down the left mouse button for the "ZOOM" feature ( Zoom is disabled if you have a weapon or spell readied)
Press the "n" key to enable Nightvision
press the "m" key for normal vision
*** Installation ***
you will need to install MGE 2.5 or higher (Morrowind Graphics Extender) & make sure it running properly.
Ensure that MGE is set up to connect to MWSE, or use the built in version of MWSE included with MGE or this plugin will do nothing and you will not receive any error messages.
MGE is the only option, there is no way to do this mod with vanilla MW, as far as I can tell, if somebody knows how.... let me know.
Extract all files into morrowind's 'Data Files' directory. All files go in the usual places.
shaders go in Data\shaders\darknut
Data\shaders\timeslip
Textures go in Data\Textures\
Make sure DN_1st_Person_Helm.esp is selected in the "Data File" in MW launcher.
Thats it, start the game as usual.
*** Compatability & Conficts ***
* This will conflict with any mod that attaches a script to a helmet.
* If you have a custom armor mod that changes the helms the 1st person view may be incorrect.
* This should not break a savegame ... but you should always make a backup just in case.
* This mod is compatible with Timslip's zooming Bows mod
*** Known Issues ***
*** Moragtong & Darkbrotherhood helms *** If you open the inventory window while nightvision is activated you will have to turn nightvision back on when you exit inventory. (hit the "N" key again)
You will notice that the HUD is cover by some of the helms, this is unavoidable at the moment.
I personally like it this way ..... I think it adds to the Emersion factor.
** Stuff still to do **
Do the custom helms.
Make a version that "doesn't" cover the Hud.
