Once you have nocked an arrow and drawn in back it has always been impossible to
put the arrow away without shooting it (without going into the inventory.)  This
mod will de-nock your equipped arrow when you press "spacebar."

This works with both arrows and bolts.

This mod is dependent upon Morrowind Script Extender (MWSE) v0.9.2a or later, or MGE v3 or later.

    2. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN

I hope you'll enjoy playing this mod. Please direct comments, suggestions,

    6. CONFLICTS

*****************************************************************

I have tried to avoid any conflicts with any common mods.  I may have missed something
here or there, if I did please let me know!

It is likely that this will not work if you use a German keyboard.  It seems that
MWSE's key press detection functions do not work with many German keyboard configurations.

Please reports any bugs or problems at <a href="http://www.fliggerty.com/">Great House Fliggerty.</a>

    7. THANKS

*****************************************************************

Too many right now.  Still compiling the list.
But to start it off:

povuholo: Suggested this idea on the TES Forums
ps33: Always my scripting mentor.  While having nothing directly to do with this mod,
nevertheless I would not have known how to use MWSE without his infinite patience and support.
FreshFish: For giving us MWSE.
CDCooley: For continuing the support of MWSE
scruggs: Made a similar mod for OB that provided some of the inspiration for this.
Bryss Phoenix: As always, infinite support and patience!
Everybody else who has always been supportive of modders in general.

excellent idea!

Cool thing Fligg!!! :twothumbs:  Will you merge all your improvements someday into a kind of "Morrowind overhaul", so that one does not have to install so many single plugins? Would be great!!! :punkrock:

Thank you so much for this, Fliggerty! :bananacheer:  The Oblivion version of this is always one of the first mods I install when I set up a new game because it's just plain nuts that if you miss an opportunity to take a shot, you just have to waste that valuable enchanted arrow shooting it into the ground. Unfortunantly I'm having some problems with this mod:

It seems to activate whenever I have a weapon out and access a corpse. Not an issue, but I have to turn around and requip my arrows. The last time this happened, it switched out my bow with my sword. I switched back to my bow and tried to unknock an arrow with no success. When I used my sword to kill an enemy and loot the corpse, I got a CTD. This is a good idea Fligg, and it worked before but I don't know why it's not working now. I'm using MGE 3.8 something or other.

You can change it in the console.  Get the utility I have here called Key Test and use it to get the key code for whatever key you want to use.  Then set the global fl_da_key to that code.

Hi all,
   First time here and have a question about this mod. Everytime I load a save with this installed it CTD's. When I remove it, the save loads normally. I am using MGE 3.8. Could it be what I have installed already? See below:

[Game Files]
GameFile0=Better Heads Bloodmoon addon.esm
GameFile1=Better Heads Tribunal addon.esm
GameFile2=Better Heads.esm
GameFile3=Bloodmoon.esm
GameFile4=Morrowind Patch v1.6.4.esm
GameFile5=Morrowind.esm
GameFile6=Tribunal.esm
GameFile7=Better Bodies.esp
GameFile8=Better Clothes_v1.1_nac.esp

GameFile31=WeatheredSigns.esp
GameFile32=Wilderness Sounds T & B.esp
GameFile33=Wilderness Sounds.esp

I do not have it active yet, would it matter where I placed it? Would really like to use this mod.

Hi!  Welcome to GHF.  I can't answer your question, unfortunately, but I'm sure someone will be along who can later today.  I'm wondering though, why are MashedLists and MergedObjects not further down on your load list?  If you have a reason, I'm really curious as to what it is.  Also, I thought the documentation for Wryemash says you don't need to merge objects if you use it.  I very well could have misread it, so don't feel my questions are suggesting you change anything.  It would probably be better to wait, unless you know the answers!   :D

Yes, that should help keep folks like me from asking.  Have you tried changing Arrow De-nocker in the load order?  From what I've gathered, CTD's caused by mods are sometimes related to more than one script being on the same object.  I'm not familiar with the Suran Archery store, but it may help narrow down the issue if you try unchecking that one and checking Fligg's de-nocker.  If there's no CTD, then those two may conflict.

This is just a stop-gap troubleshooting measure.  I'm sure Fliggerty would absolutely want to know if his mod conflicts, but I also know he may be quite busy today and tomorrow.  Hang in there and PLEASE let us know if you discover a conflict or a resolution.

Elaura,
    I have change the load order on this mod a few times with no success. I also loaded it without the Suran Archery mod and it stil CTD. Could it be that the MGE version I am using is causing this issue? Maybe if I have MWSE work outside of MGE?

Don't know about that one.  *personally* I have had better success with a standalone MWSE installation while running MGE.  HOWEVER, my graphics setup was never truly compatible with MGE, so I stopped using it altogether.  Have you attached any other scripts to the spacebar?

I have not. I think I'll try to run MWSE outside of MGE and see if that does the trick. Couldn't hurt. Thanks for taking the time reply.

Anytime.  :D  If you continue to have problems, post again.  In the meantime, I'll keep checking back to make sure your thread doesn't drop off into oblivion without getting resolved.  You could even try the email addy for Fliggerty in the documentation, but, as I mentioned, he's probably gonna be busy for a couple days.

Well, tried disabling MWSE in MGE and using MWSE externally caused a CTD without addind the arrow de-nocker. Hmmm..When I reset MGE to use internal MWSE, it worked fine.  :yield: I have no idea what to do now.

Hmm.   :chinscratch:   Never had that problem, myself.  Keep checking back.  We have some great folks here, but many of them work days.  For now, you could either just relax, grab a cold drink, uncheck the de-nocker, and play without it for a while * OR * try starting a new game with nothing but the de-nocker checked.  If it doesn't cause a CTD, then you know you have a mod conflict.  If it does, then you know it's conflicting with MGE.
