Quetion on the 4gb_patch

Several months ago I installed the 4gb_patch along with the code patch, EXE Optimizer and MGE EXP on my Steam game in my C (X86) drive and the combo works and looks GREAT. Today I've tried to upgrade the game I'm using for modding and testing out mods in a different directory on my D drive and I've forgotten just where to install the 4gb_patch when it asks for a file. I tried the Morrowind msn file and that bombed. Reinstalling the GOTY and the others is a real pain which I'd rather not experience too many times playing trial and error. Can someone tell me where I install the 4gb_patch in the D:\Bethesda\Morrowind directory?

I just put it in my Morrowind Folder.

You don't 'install' 4 GB patch in the conventional sence. It modifies the EXE and makes it 'aware' of RAM larger than 2GB so that it can utilize those if it needs to. So you can place it wherever you want. Then run the 4 GB patch.exe and select the Morrowind.exe and its done. Same procedure for the EXE optimizer too.

Actually, the same 4 GB patch can be used on any executable, so it works on older 32-bit applications of which cannot utilize more than 2GB of RAM.

Also, note that MCP creats a backup of the original morrowind.exe. When you change MCP settings later, it uses the backed up version. So you need to re-apply EXE optimizer and 4GB patch after changing MCP. Also, always apply MCP first, as it doesn't work on modified EXE.

Is anyone working on MCP, and/or are they able to incorporate a version of the 4 GB patch into MCP?  It would seem like a logical, useful include, if anyone has a mid to take the idea to whoever may be currently working on the MCP.

I've just posted it on the MCP thread. Hrnchamd just released a new beta, so hopefully he'll respond.
