Howdy

Wondering about this site http://wiki.theassimilationlab.com/mmw/ ... pt_Library

I've seen it come up on searches for script issues and help and I've used some of the scripts adjusting for specific mod requirements

However I have noticed that many of them really don't work...   my most recent attempt was a failure on summoning a creature via invisible marker
which to me doesn't seem like it should be too difficult, but with my limited experience in scripting  I rely on what others have provided

Regardless of my failures as they may be of my own doing my question concerns updating and or verification of these scripts

1) does anyone ever test these scripts to verify they work

2) is anyone ever going to put explanations comments in these scripts  for example if a script has "set xpos (GetPos, X)  does this mean to but the actual cell position in the (   )  as in (GetPos, 4250 ) (4250 meaning X )

3) Is their a more extensive and up to date Script Library somewhere (does anyone know)

Just questions hoping someone has answers to

Enjoy

anyway here is another option I've taken

but it appears I've done something incorrectly as I have postfix error on line 10  but I can't see why ?

I have my activator  "valvar_hall_trigger"
and the the trigger script "valvar_halltrigger01"
and the summon script which is the same as any other summon spell

I can not pick out anything wrong with them

could use some advice

Enjoy

Like I said in the other thread I am not a scripter, but this script seems to have an error and I think the "short triggered" line should be changed to "short istriggered" since a similiar line to the right in the picture has that command line.

It's a wiki version of an old RTF/PDF, so I wouldn't expect any updates/edits.

Don't know, but given many of the contributors are well known modders/scripters I'd expect most of them to work? Proper indentation is lacking in many of them though.

UESP has a Function List, which will briefly explain what each function does, their parameters & some examples.

RE your example, it explains the GetPos parameter is an axis, one of X, Y, or Z. So this line of code is setting the variable xpos to the current position of the calling object on the X axis.

Don't know, but the old Morrowind Scripting for Dummies & Morrowind Mod Maker Manual would be worth a look.

Might want to give MWEdit and/or Morrowind Script Editor a go, they have better debugging than TESCS, making it easier to track down the line(s) of code which are causing problems.
