I respectfully disagree. It might have caused problems with the original Mod Organizer or an earlier version of Mod Organizer 2, but the current version of MO2 works perfectly fine for Morrowind. I can't really speak for OpenMW since I haven't tried it yet, but many others and I have no issues using it with the original Morrowind. I already know about Wrye Mash since it used to be my go-to mod manager for modding Morrowind in the past, and I still use it to create a Bashed Patch, but now that MO2 has recently improved its support for Morrowind, I personally don't really see a reason to go back since I prefer virtual folders.

I'm not really asking for help. My mods are working fine. I was just wondering if there was an E.T.A. on the server migration. I only have a few mods left from the S.T.E.P. guide to add and they're all hosted on this website.

Well, anyone has the right to express their opinion.

JabbaWabba wrote:I already know about Wrye Mash since it used to be my go-to mod manager for modding Morrowind in the past, and I still use it to create a Bashed Patch

I guess you mean the Mashed Lists.esp, because the Bashed Patch doesn't even exist for Wrye Mash.  The Bashed Patch belongs to the Wrye Bash.

JabbaWabba wrote:but now that MO2 has recently improved its support for Morrowind, I personally don't really see a reason to go back since I prefer virtual folders.

I know one reason why should go back to Wrye Mash and that has to do with the anneal feature, which is useful when one wants to *repair* a mod in BAIN without reinstalling a mod.

I'm not here to see which mod organizer is superior, has more features, or is more applicable to Morrowind. I was just responding to your notion that MO2 doesn't work with some Morrowind mods. That statement is inaccurate.

And yes, I meant the Mashed Lists.esp. Sorry about that, I just finished modding Oblivion and New Vegas back-to-back so I'm used to creating Bashed Patches through Wrye Bash.

Someone on Nexus mention that if one cannot download a mod on GHF-DL, probably on MMH too, can still download the mod by using the Wayback Machine like this mod.

Code: Select all

It seems to me that the solution someone posted on Nexus by using the Wayback Machine for mods on GHF-DL are not a reliable solution for some mods e.g Fliggerty's Slave Mod is one mod that I had difficulties to find a working link via the Wayback Machine.

Any news from Fliggerty regarding the current issues?

I know it's a little to close to Christmas, but I hope that he can fix a thing or two between Christmas and New Years Eve.

Hi!

As I wrote in other thread, I have an issue:

My problem, I can't download this mod via download button:

http://download.fliggerty.com/download--1199

because the result are garbage, for example:

"[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file /home/ghf/public_html/download/file.php on line 12: finfo_file(): Empty filename or path
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file /home/ghf/public_html/download/includes/functions_general.php on line 167: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3826)"

From the Great House Fliggerty Front page announcements:
As many of you have noticed there has been some issues with downloading mods from Great House Fliggerty Downloads. If you have been following our threads on the subject you'd know that Fliggerty has been trying to complete a server migration in the spare time that he has in RL. and until he gets it finished it is likely that mod downloads will continue to be plagued with issues.

If you need a mod from Great House Fliggerty you can always take the url that appears in your browser's address bar after clicking the download button (the url on the page with all of the errors), and plug it into the Wayback machine. Note this may not work for all mods.

Here is the link to the wayback machine: https://archive.org/web/

Thank you all for your continued support, and patience.
we at Great House Fliggerty appreciate it.

Try that work around, and if it still does not work you might try posting a request in a new topic.

You could always try a request thread, As a matter of fact I will start a thread to ask people to share mods that might not be available through the Wayback workaround. You can post a request for the mod you are looking for in that thread.
And here it is.

I think this is enough reason of why Fliggerty cannot wait much longer to fix the remaining issues.  I hope she doesn't abandon GHF, but who knows maybe she does that someday in the future.

Sad New Year 2019.  Yes, I still have a short-cut to GHF on my desktop, yes, I still check it for updates , and yes I miss GHF.  Whatever she decides in the future I wish her the best of luck in RL and thank her for all she did to make my introduction to Morrowind more enjoyable.

Earlier today I read on the MMH front page that Fliggerty had sorted out the rest of the server migration and GHF-DL is operational again.  Of course I do not know if uploading is working, but downloading UL 3.5 does work.

I attempted an upload to answer this question

The results ..... well apparently I can't upload the Error Message  ??

But it goes like this [phpBB Debug] php warning:
in file /home/ghf/modhistory.com/includes/processors/upload_file.php
on line 15
rename(/mnt/storage/modhistory/content/uploads/files/QF  *** at this point the message is off the screen but I believe it is related to the mod file name***
No such file or directory
failed to move the file

Enjoy

Hello,
I just visited my mods pages on Morrowind Mods History and I noticed that all the images I had uploaded are just gone.
Does anyone know why before I reupload them?
Thank you! :)

Let me talk to Fliggerty about this before you upload new ones. They may still be there, but not associating correctly tot he mod that they are supposed to be tied to.
Fliggerty just did some major work with the server migration that we've been going through rather slowly, and that may have something to do with it. Mods were showing related screenshots at the beginning of the week before Fliggerty did what he did.

EDIT: Fliggerty is looking into it right now (02/23/2019 8:24pm cst)

EDIT EDIT: Your screenshots are back up, and we thank you for the patience you showed, allowing us the time to get them working again.

Good news everybody It appears that additional files downloads are working again (Much thanks to our Big Blue Genie), and as mentioned in the second edit to my previous post Screenshots should be displaying on every mod that has them uploaded to them. That would make Modding History, and GHF-DL 85% functional, now all we need is for someone to try uploading a mod to each site, to see if they work, and maybe a nice update to some mod or another wouldn't go amiss too. Still if there are any issues you find please report them so we can look into getting them fixed.

As always THANK YOU for your continued patience with us as we continue on our way to returning to full functionality.

I'm trying to upload some of my stuff on MMH, but keep running into this error when I click Submit Mod. Am I doing something wrong?

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file /home/ghf/modhistory.com/includes/processors/upload_file.php on line 15: rename(/mnt/storage/modhistory/content/uploads/files/Icon Replacement Pack.7z,/mnt/storage/modhistory/content/checking/holding/Icon Replacement Pack.7z): No such file or directory

Greetings to all GHF members! I just wanted to ask if anybody knows about the situation with the additional file downloads hosted on this site? The ones on MMH are currently working perfectly fine, but apparently here the errors still persist (for example on pages with such mods as Dunmer Lanterns, A Hermit's Request and Better Clothes Bloodmoon). I would appreciate any kind of information on the subject. Hopefully these files won't be overlooked!

Welcome to GHF, Iolite!  :dancing-banana:  :dancing-banana:  :dancing-banana:

The only one who knows is Fliggerty, but due for being a busy man in RL Drakkmore is constantly contact with Fliggerty.

So, I can only say as I've had said to others we need to wait for Drakkmore to login here then wait for Fliggerty to fix whatever that needs to be fixed, unless Drakkmore cannot correct it himself.

I see. Thanks a lot for the info! So now that the issue is pointed out, the only thing is to wait.

Meanwhile, I've noticed that alternative textures for Dunmer Lanterns can still be downloaded from the "forum thread" link at the bottom of the mod's page. Maybe this will help somebody who's interested. The other files, sadly, aren't available even through WebArchive.
