Unfortunately my computer is currently down, and my other means of internet usage is old an outdated smartphone from like 2012 (I don't use it anymore, but I get wifi on it so it can work) which has a hard time with FB, and many other sites.
When I can get a hold from Fliggerty, I'll let him know, but it may be a while.

Unless the problem has been fixed very recently, I tried uploading a new version of one of my mod in the "additional files" on that mod page and it didn't work. I got an error message similar to the one I posted here: viewtopic.php?f=88&t=6909&p=101665#p101652

Maybe it's just a compatibility problem between Firefox Quantum 66.0.2 (64 bits) and the site?

I haven't tried with another browser and I don't feel like installing another one just to try... Maybe I'll do that... one day.

Well, I was talking about downloads only - I think I saw your thread about upload problems before. Looks like you can't upload for now, but the old files stay intact.

It may sound like none of my business, but I suggest using Pale Moon, the browser is free of bloat, fast, oldschool and works wonders. Firefox is now a lot less appealing than before: https://spyware.neocities.org/articles/firefox.html .

I hope the additional upload function on MMH will get fixed, this is crucial for keeping mod community alive!

I tried Pale Moon yesterday and it didn't seem better than Firefox to me; with the exact same pages loaded it used above 600 mB in my memory about the same amount as Firefox.

I went here and the problems was still there, so I got back to Firefox. Maybe it's not a compatibility problem after all.

You're welocme! Well, speed is a tricky matter, I agree that in some cases there's hardly any difference. However, I think it's still definitely better in terms of privacy. There's also K-Meleon, but it's very very small and lacks some functions I find vital.

I also think it's an external problem, I recommended the browser not because it could fix this particular issue... It all depends on Fliggerty's actions now.

I noticed that sometimes certain mods' pages on MMH refuse to display any content, but the problem goes away if you wait for about one day. It happened once with Better Bodies, and more recently, with More Better Clothes.

Long time lurker but first time poster.  I'm hoping someone can help.  I am trying to download Better Clothes Bloodmoon Plus 1.5 from the Additional Files section of http://download.fliggerty.com/download-21-804 and instead of the download I get taken to a page (http://download.fliggerty.com/additional_file.php?id=138) full of nonsense , I tried this with 3 (Chrome, Opera and Firefox) different browsers and all did the same thing  However, when I try to download version 1.0 from the main link, that works fine.  I've replied here as I thought it might be the most relevant place from the title, apologies if it isn't.

Interesting. I just used the 21-804 link in ladyonthemoon's post and was able to download the BCBM+ file from the Download button without issue. Of course, this machine is using outdated FF 56.0b9, because I got tired of the new versions not using the addons that make it work like Classic FF.

I just tried the same thing as you did and I use Firefox 56.0, but couldn't download anything and eventually Firefox simple hanged waiting for GHF-DL to load something I dunno what is.  

Which forced me to exit Firefox then re-launch it.

But it does appear to be random, I have downloaded several mods from GHF download section over the last few days to see what it was doing and I got this message about 50% of the time.

Thanks for the reply Dietbob.  Yeah, that's the error and it's driving me mad.  Every other mod I've needed I've been able to download with no issues but the one I REALLY need, I can't get!!  

I'll keep trying and see what happens...unless you fancy trying to download it for me and possibly send it me via PM, if that is allowed.

Sorry, didn't see that we were discussing the Additional files; those are generally broken on all of the GHFDL pages, right now. I can't even save edits to the pages, either.

Ahh damn...that's a pain and from what I can tell by trawling around various forums, this appears to be the only modding resource site that hosts the update too.  

Are the links getting repaired at all?

I wouldn't recommend trying to download it. I just did it and all what happened is that Firefox used more and more memory, and that it kept using more and more of it after I closed the tab. When I shut down Firefox it was using about 4,8 gB of memory.

As far as I know, GHF is the only site that has this mod, and the wayback machine doesn't help   So as for me I can not get it

Thanks Dietbob, however, the last comment on the hack method post linked in your original link is from me saying it doesn't work

Wayback Machine just tells me that it's an invalid file id and the 'hack' method doesn't work because when I right click on the link I only get an option to 'Save Image As' as opposed to 'Save Link As'

Just to clarify, I've tested Better Clothes Bloodmoon 1.0 (main download) in actual gameplay. It may serve as a substitute to 1.5 somewhat - the vanilla segmented clothes are indeed replaced with BB-compatible smooth meshes (tested on a female character). Specifically, this concerns at least the grey "wolfy" common pants from the expansion.

But there are problems too. One pair of dark expensive pants has a texture error - bright white line on the front, looks kinda like zipper, but it obviously shouldn't be there. The submitter on the mod's page mentions problems with missing groin parts, which might be related to this problem.

That's why I think that the additional version 1.5 file is still pretty important for anyone who wants to have a full BC set in Morrowind.

As for the browsers, I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which one to use in this situation, it's the server problems. I remember using Ungoogled Chormium a few months ago, when this problem started to appear, and I got the same errors. And I agree that it's better not to visit that page right now, the memory leak is terrible (use Ctrl+W to close a tab quickly in most browsers, it may help if you react fast enough).

Hello again everyone. Apparently the situation with downloads isn't resolved yet...

However, I think I've managed to get the file with Better Clothes Bloodmoon v1.5 after all. I tried the hack method posted by Dietbob, and it worked, but not in the way I expected. Here is what I did:

1. In order to get "Save Link As..." option, you have to find a link to the file, i.e. someone or you yourself must post it somewhere. Naturally, I used a link MalekBrood posted here on 13th of April. The one in the brackets, yes.

2. I highlighted the link and clicked the RMB. Used the option "Save Link As..." and got what was evidently the very archive we're after.

3. After unsuccessful tries to hex-crack the file, I simply renamed it to what it was originally named, as says on the page - "BetterClothesBloodmoonPlus1.5.zip". Tried to extract it, and to my surprise, it worked!

The zip extraction procedure returned no errors for me, which means that the file is authentic. For all intents and purposes, it's the very mod itself, without any extra or missing info.

So, I suggest you try this method. Right click the link, save, rename. It seems to work, and I almost can't believe it's that simple. The files are actually there!

It would be helpful, I think, to post the links to all the problematic additional downloads on GHF here, on the forums. Maybe even creating a separate thread for it, so people could get the files. I'd do it myself, but first I need to hear that at least someone else can confirm this method works.

Iolite, I remember doing this with .ace file archives from The Wayback machine that would throw up the same mess of code instead of the download required. As you say, the files are there - they are just being handled by a browser that can't effectively generate the download link from the code provided!
