Great House Fliggerty site issues...

Some of you might have noticed that there was a hiccup on the 30th of October, and some things are still not working right. The issue stemmed from a temporary shutdown of the servers that are hosting Great House Fliggerty, and our sister sites. While this was happening Fliggerty began a server migration to get a jump start on moving things to a new server. We hope to have the migration completed by the end of next week. We also hope to have any bugs caused by the server migration worked out by the end of the week too. In the case of bugs, and other issue we ask for your continued patience.
Until the migration is completed you can continue using the forum link on Modding History to get into most forums on Great House Fliggerty.

You've got to understand that Fliggerty is an extremely busy person in his real world life. We've explained this countless times over the past years, as well as asked all of our members to please be patient with us as a result of this business. I will ask again for your patience. Fliggerty, is the only person that can do anything about this at the current time. I can only nag him so much. He will get it done when he has the time to spare to work on it.
Please be patient with us.

I can't log into GHF's download pages so I can alter/upload my mods. And I can't access PMs on these forums either, but the former is more important.

Sorry for the inconvenience SS, I'll pester Fliggerty to get this Server migration finished, He's been kind of busy IRL, and there is nothing that I can do to expedite the conclusion of this project. I hope this is taken care of sooner rather than later, but All I can do is nag the boss-man. Please be patient with us a little longer.

Well, I am going to tell you this: usually in the real world if a malfunction cannot be fixed within one month it reamains unfixable. I believe it is safe to assume that Fliggerty abandoned this project and that's that. We'd better accept this for a fact. The sooner the better.

Being in daily contact with Fliggerty, I can tell you that you are incorrect in your assumption that Fliggerty has abandoned Great House Fliggerty. I can also tell you that he thinks about the site often (especially Modding History). I can not tell you very much about his real life, as it would be disrespectful to Fliggerty, but I can tell you that he is very busy with work, and his family, and when he has the time to finish moving Great House Fliggerty to the current server, it will get done. If you didn't know about the relationship between Great House Fliggerty, and Modding History, as well as Wolflore, and Fort Elder Scrolls, I will tell you simply that Modding History is owned by Fliggerty, and is hosted by Great House Fliggerty. Wolflore, and Fort Elder Scrolls are owned by other people, but are hosted by Great House Fliggerty. Which means that they have been moved to the current server. If they were not moved then you would not be able to post in the Great House Fliggerty forums via the Modding History gateway that you've undoubtedly used to get to this particular topic to post your reply. No it is not "unfixable", and has not been "abandoned". We ask you all once again to be patient with us, to NOT encourage others to give up hope, and accept the "fact" that the forums have been abandoned.

Drakkmore has more roles here than you can even image, one role he has is to monitor MMH, GHF-DL (approving uploaded mods for both sites), on this forum, so he isn't just talking if you think he is doing just that.

Let me make one thing clear, With my current permissions on this site about the only thing I can not do is transfer the forum, and it's archives from server to server. Things I can do, are approve accounts (I approved yours), edit other peoples permissions, move threads to correct sub-forums, remove comments from threads that are inappropriate, edit everyone's comments if I decide that an inappropriate comment could benefit the conversation to make the comment more acceptable to the rules, Ban by name/email/IP, change passwords for members that have lost them, activate accounts, deactivate accounts, move members from one group to another and back again, approve mods on Modding History/Great House Fliggerty Downloads, Lock topics, move topics, delete topics (regardless of who started the topic), send warnings (you've got one by the way), make announcements, answer the concerns of others, and  much more besides just talking. I also have the privilege to remind you of the forum guidelines that you agreed to abide by when you created your account. I will post a link here where you can find it easily for a refresher on the subject: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3384

I do not have the patience, or the good will right now to give you chance after chance to straighten out your act, so let me say this once, you will show the members of this forum the proper respect that they are due, or you will no longer be a member of this forum. Do I make my self clear?

FYI, I think this needs be done every time one wants to go to directly from a mod entry to a posted [RELz] thread in the Mod Downloads forum category.


Any link in any mod entry (not every mod entry has a forum link button) on GHF-DL that goes to a thread on GHF forum is affected by this, so do this in order to get it the link working.  I use a forum link from a mod entry I posted here.

Well after much to do, I have finally found you again. (my old GHF and C&EO shortcuts no longer worked)   ...The 1st issue I have is small boxes with x's in them instead of signatures and in the header above.  Can you help me with that?

p.s. Drakkmore, as a non-techie I cannot even imagine how much work you have to go through to maintain this site. Thank you and the other moderators for your commitment.
