Looking for a song from an ooold lost mod!

I believe the mod is 'Your Seedy Hideout' by Marac, and it's no longer available to download anywhere after PES went down. The wayback machine doesn't seem to have the file either--or at least won't let me download it. I remember it's a mod that adds a sort of gothic styled little house in the vivec sewers, not the most purist friendly but I enjoyed the aesthetic nonetheless. There was a phonograph that when activated would play a song--and I can't for the life of me remember anything about it beyond the fact that I liked it. I have no idea where to start looking, honestly.

And honestly I also have some questions regarding commissioning mods and the like (mainly 'is that a thing that's legal/would people be interested in payment to make specific mods')--but I'm not sure if that would be best saved for a separate thread and... im not entirely certain which board would be the best place to post it, whoops. I've been visiting this site for years but never actually participated in the forum--so i apologize for any mistakes on my part!

Considering that when PES was shut down by IGN, we grabbed every mod that we could from PES (Fliggerty wrote a crawler that grabbed every mod that didn't have a dead link), to upload to Modding History. If it was there when it was shut down, then it is on Modding History. Having said that I just did a search of Modding history for "Your Seedy Hideout" no such mod was listed in the results. This leads me to believe that either it was a dead link by the time the crawler got set loose on PES, or the name given is incorrect. There are many ways one can search Modding History for the correct mod, but we'll let you have a go at it.

I did a quick search last night, but was too tired to respond.  Anyway, I found a mod that sounds similar to what the OP is looking for, but that's probably wrong mod.

Yep, I've searched through there quite thoroughly already, which is why I came here. The modding history only has one of Marac's mods, and it's not the right one.

Similar aesthetic, but unfortunately not the one I was looking for. Thank you, though! I remember loving this mod waaaay back when.

I guess what I'm hoping is someone might have the mod squirreled away on their comp somewhere, but I suppose that's not too likely. I don't think it was a particularly popular mod.

I hope it is squirreled away on somebody's computer too, that way if they have it, they can post a link to a Dropbox, or other file sharing site which then will allow a Modding History steward to grab, and hold onto it until the upload scripts are fixed on Modding History, or until Fliggerty finishes Modding History 2.0 which ever comes first. Then the mod can be preserved for future Morrowind players.

I did a google custom search for {"Seedy Hideout" Morrowind}.  Unfortunately, I didn't get anyhting.  I also tried looking for the modder, but I can't find him on modern sites.  I hope it comes up, there's not many mods we don't have thanks to Fligg (and I believe Yacoboy was the one who wrote the crawler, right?).  The only other option is if some mods fligg has stored somewhere outside of PES.  I'd hate to imagine a modder coming back years later to notice his mod was thrown in the garbage by PES...such a shame.  They didn't even try to contact us or the nexus to save these mods...

This is also why everyone should upload to bethesda.net AND another website for Skyrim and FO4, they'll ditch hosting mods when their games get to be 10yrs old too.

I did a search for the three authors (Grumblepunk, Vorwoda, DopeHatMan) on the Nexus and bethesda.net.  Unfortunately, nothing came up.  They could be under different usernames but it looks like they're MIA too.

You'd have to do some detective work but Emma is still active.  I think it's easiest to find her on the Nexus.  Don't know if it'll lead anywhere, but Emma is super nice, I'm sure she'll help you if she can.

Nope .They're still quite active - it's a registered members only deal but Emma is very helpful. I'll log on and try that wild stab in the dark! Who knows- Vorwoda might be a modder who wanders back in to the Morrowind modding scene every so often.
