After a quick view of your posted pictures I got my eyes stuck on the Blue Egyptian Faience & Gold Vase and I couldn't continue, because that vase has an excellent quality and I also envy your modeling skill. You're good.

Why thank you Leo! That vase I modeled after this vase. I didn't add the eye of Horus because it wouldn't look right to me for some reason.

Hey, how is everything going?

Sorry I've been absent, I'm still overloaded with university work and will be for another week or so.  :banghead:

I have doing some work on the temple clutter and recently started a video blog on my modeling skill in Blender. I have two new screenies for you I just have to take the time and get those for you ASAP because I keep running into a writer's block everytime I start on those designs for the vases which is driving me mad! :banghead:

But I need to focus on the other parts of the chargen script because that will be the first thing to come life and sort of a starter out for this TC.

I am kinda of dragging my feet on finishing up my first video blog on my modeling adventures in Blender. So today I have to do the commentary for it and I will be posting it here and on Facebook. So this is quite an endeavor for me as I am about to prove to everyone about how fast a modeler I am....when I have my ideas straight forward that is... :mockery:

I think he refers to the statue to the left standing on something...  :chinscratch:

The human body part of the statue? No. The rest of the statue yes I did model it. Looks good doesn't it?

That it does, Oderus, that it does.

It's pretty cool to see how good Fox is getting, my best attempts resemble a lump of clay getting hit with a train, so it's nice to see some good homebrew like that.

Some more vases:

Onyx and Gold Vase

I have hand-painted the lotus petals on the vases with that  particular design on them. The design was meant for just the Egyptian Blue Faience only but I was pulling a few strings and it will look entirely different when they are fully complete. I have been hand-painting some designs in gimp since March of this year. I have been able to make things pop but I have more to hash out in gimp. In fact I have a couple of designs that I will try to get done that are of the Lotus Petals and some egyptian borders as well. Just giving you a little update on what I have been hatching out in my head over the past week or so. I hope you enjoy these as I have a suprise screenie to show you all. ;) Stay tuned! More to come!

I really like these vases of yours and I'm quite sure that you have a lot more to tease us with, but I'm not sure how much that would be perhaps it's written in the stars. Beautiful vases that you have posted. Thanks for these pictures Silver.

Oh wow!  Those are beautiful, silver!  Like when they show on television what ancient cities "might have" looked like.  It's going to be amazing to actually be able to walk up to these in game and really look at the details.  You should have a job doing this for the Egyptian museum in Cairo . . . or at least the Learning/Discovery/History/Science Channel.  Some of their stuff is very shoddy compared to what I've seen you do.

I have alot done, it's just that I don't have enough time to showcase and get progress done with my mod. I am getting tired of that and it is really, really starting to get on my nerves. :banghead:  I have like a million and one things to do for this mod and due to the fact that I am such a perfectionist, I am having the hardest time which leads me to my texturer's block I get everytime I start on those vases. :banghead:  I have alot of the Interior done it's the clutter which is dragging me down and slowing things because I have to think about how I'd like it to set up as, then execute it.

Silver take it easy for a while and do something that you really like to do. Have a moment for your self and come back later when you're fit for fight so of speak. That's what I always do when I'm tired or bored with things and later on it get so much easier to finish what you're trying to achieve. I hope you didn't get burned out and good luck with your mod.

Nah I'm not burned out, just getting a little too anxious because I am almost near a goal and I am trying to finish it but being lazy about it. I have never in my life been so anxious about a mod that I can't even finish what I am trying to accomplish on it. :floorlaugh:

The first tools of this mod:

Image
Copper Chisel

Here is a little background on the very first chisel ever made by Egyptians:

This was a carving tool that the Ancient Egyptians used to chisel out the hieroglyphics symbols onto walls back in Ancient Egypt.

Since the only metal ores known to the Ancient Egyptians were copper and gold, copper was the most sturdiest of the metals and was used instead of gold. Gold was much too soft.

Image
Wooden Hammer

Here is a little background on the very tool used by the Ancient Egyptians:

This hammer was one of the crude tools used by the Ancient Egyptians to carve the Hieroglyphs out of the walls of many ancient tombs, pyramids, temples, many obelisks and statues.

Another tool asides the wooden hammer were huge rocks and a bow-type drill for poking holes into many of the structures that have been discovered today by paleontologists and preserved by many historian mueseums all over the world.

Here is the surprise screenies I promised you earlier on of Interior of Horus' Sun Temple:

Image
Ancient Egyptian Scribe and Horus' Sun Temple under construction.

In this render you can see that the scribe has nearly finished one wall covered in Hieroglyphics. He has a Copper Chisel and Wooden Hammer in both hands working diligently on this wall.

He has been one of Pharaoh's scribes all his life. He has been working on this wall for years. He is one of the ones that were blessed by the Ancient Egyptian God Thoth to be able to record the sacred events that take place within this holy abode.

Image
The Egyptian Artistians I have yet to add to this render due to the fact that this is still very much a work in progress like our fellow egyptian scribe here is doing to the wall in the render.

More to come!

Beautiful work, Silver!

This is going to be an absolute pleasure to walk around in, looking at all the beautiful pieces.

I haven't forgotten about my promise, either. :) I'm still trying to work up an Egyptian height map for TesAnnwyn. If you run across an elevation map of Egypt, let me know. So far, they appear to be as rare as hen's teeth. :)

The vases and stuff truly do look nice, what with the reflection map and all, looks almost real. In game, I think they would suffer a bit because MW just doesnt do reflections as well as I would like. Seems you have made your own fire particle effects. I have no earthly idea how to make those myself so please dont take this the wrong way, but Id love to see more realistic flames on them. The fire in Oblivion looks like the real thing. Maybe you could look at how they did it.

As for your trouble with clutter...since so far everything is not actually in morrowind, are you not doubling the amount of work you have to do? Why decorate the renders with clutter and then repeat the process when you finally put the models in game? I would just make the building models, then the clutter, add the stuff to the game and THEN decorate.

*cowers* Im just offering my opinion! No offense intended, HONEST!!!!  :yield:
