I haven't been here in awhile. But I've noticed that posting is down. I'm guessing this is because of school starting for many of you young, cool cat, swell hipsters ( I believe these are the latest terms you youth are referring to yourselves by).

So  HAPPY SCHOOL YEAR , You future leaders of tomorrow and present drain on society. :hoorah:

I ran into some old high school accquaintances yesterday.

"So Sara, what classes are you taking?"

"Logic, Physical Anthropology, English, and Calculus."

Wide eyed response "...You're so smart it scares me..."

I picked two of those three because they sounded like EASY classes!  Are my standards just unusually high for what constitutes "Academically challenging"?

No they're not. Other people's are just lower than you'd expect.

As for me, I'm taking World Languages and Two-Dimensional Design this semester.

Well, as a matter of fact, this cool cat (a shiver just ran down my spine...) has indeed been slogging through his last year of school for a few weeks now. Thanks for the happiness, I think I'll need it. As for the drain on society bit, a word of comfort: living in Germany as I am, I'm not a drain on your society.

The new chat has killed posting I've noticed. Posting had tripled until it was released, then it ground to a halt.

And yes, between searching for work, school, and other responsibilities, I haven't as much time as I'd like.

LOGIC???  ENGLISH???  You call those EASY???  Look, just because we've been raised speaking English and watching Mister Spock since we were in diapers, don't EVER  take for granted how difficult it must be for children in, say, Khazakstan to understand relate to smart geeks like we have here in Amerika.........

P.s., I need that flag turned upside-down.  Too bad we don't have any evil Satan-Communist smilies in the list...that would fit my meaning so much better, I think......

Learn all that you can. It is much easier in your youth. :nanadance:

Some people may recall that I'm a bit of a rennaisance man when it comes to school-- and hopefully will remain that way for the rest of my life. I'm in the Student Advisory Council (student's voice in the administration), Student Council (plans sports rallies and dances). I'm an assistant photography editor in my school's yearbook*, Publicity coordinator and actor in my school's Drama club, productions editor of my school's newspaper staff, and various other, smaller organizations. New to me this year, however, I'm taking AP Statistics, and I'm Vice President to the junior class, meaning A. I'm vice president, and B. Junior year is notoriously the hardest year in high school, so I've heard. On top of that, I'm trying to learn all sorts of things on my own time. Currently, my weekdays are completely booked so you may see me around here more on weekends. I'm busy, but I'm happy, so yes, happy school year

* I'm the one of two people in the yearbook committee who knows photoshop-- the only one who can use it near-professionally (or maybe I'm blind to what I don't know, but I do know that I'm better than the teachers who teach photoshop classes, and was since my freshmen year). I also have the burden of trying to make the yearbook advisor not hate me enough o become Editor-In-Chief next year.

Too much ambition in this bunch.  Now, what if I were to ask what you all plan to *do* with all those time-consuming occupations?
