Dreamtale - Lucid Dawn (great song, made me notice the album)

Agathodaimon - Near Dark (another good one, much heavier. Split into 2 parts for YouTube's sake, apparently)

Denina wrote:I was just listening to some of the songs in the first Metal thread and WOW! I've been introduced to a couple of bands I've never heard anything about Sirenia and Nightwish. They're really cool. There just aren't enough female rockers out there. And their voices, while different, were gorgeous too. I will be listening to a lot of that.

fly leaf ,kitty, lords of acid (more techno but hyer voice rocks) paramore, the long blondes (indie rock) the ting tings (british pop rock relly relly good singer) dragonette (shes got talent) and some punk bands have lots of chick in em. otep (awesome politcal band)

Graipyy, this is the metal thread...

"Scary Kids Scaring Kids" aren't metal, not at all. And as Much as I may like them, Flyleaf, Lords of Acid and Paramore are not either (Lords of Acid goes in the electronic thread, the others in the general music thread). Kittie (if you're referring to the all-female metal band) does go here. Otep can be ignored or go in the other thread, not sure about the other ones you've listed.

If you want an idea of what does go in this thread, you can listen to some of the bands that've been posted. :) Or, for a quick idea, just check out Immortal, Emperor and Darkthrone.

I haven't been in this thread much, but I've recently been on a very prolific quest to find more unique metal to add to my playlist at work.  There's nothing that gets the code poring out of my fingers better than something fast and heavy.

These are two major additions I've come across lately that I absolutely fell in love with:

Spellbound -- Lacuna Coil
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l97nezRRsns

Whispers -- UnSun
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LapknbGS7Os

I think my long-standing appreciation for Type-O-Negative influenced my taste in both of those.

Nice to see you gentlemen stop by me humble abode on occasion. :nanadance:

Life is good, PKR. Seeing the world this year with a focused pair of eyes (internally as well as externally speaking).. Portugal eh? One of these years I may escape the binds that tie me to the Midwest. As for now, I expand past certain features of boredom as it be. Looking at a vast area of farmland is not exactly exciting although I appreciate its vastness.

That's good, mate. I'm always moving around, a fine way to fight boredom, trust me, although it's getting tiresome with age... Should you hit this shores, don't forget I always know the best watering holes in town... ;-)

HAPPY METAL CHRISTMAS!

Folks, I had to re-update the codes to youtube because of the new server integration. Therefore, All one has to input is the actual file name instead of the whole address! :nanadance: For instance: Instead of ' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOijm2uPqN8 ' one only has to place the normal youtube tags with the address of ' aOijm2uPqN8 ' in between.  If I have missed anyone's videos by mistake or have accidentally misplaced them, please post more! Oh, and I sincerely apologize..

Here's one for starters.
