THoS - A defunct site?

I wonder if THoS can be consider a defunct site or is it just temporary.  I needed to ask the question since THoS doesn't seem to exist.  Does THoS still exist?

Dunno Leo I think the only one that can answer that query for certain is Fliggerty. I do seem to remember that he was talking about shutting it down a while back, and that he wanted to incorporate a lot of things from THoS into the Future incarnation of Modding History. But seriously I can not say for certain if it is down by design.

As of this morning you ought to still be able to access files, and screenshots from THoS. Fliggerty knows about the template error, and will look into it when he's got time.

Thanks for the info Drakkmore.  :D

EDIT:  Still got the same template error, perhaps I need to wait a day or two.

The error are still there and this is somewhat irritating, because I know at least one mod perhaps a few other mods that cannot be downloaded elsewhere and I even tried the Wayback Machine to no avail.

The mod I'm talking about is Antiscamp's Primby mod, which I don't have atm due to a stupid mistake I made about 1-3 years ago when I accidently deleted all mods I've downloaded for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim over the years.

At this point I consider THoS to be a *defunct* site at least temporary.

We'll just have to wait for Fliggerty to have time to do something about it. I'm positive that the mods are safe on the server. We must just be patient.

You know, what should be done a long time ago is to use this category on GHF-DL for Skyrim mods, especially when it become obvious that THoS didn't had the success Fligg had hoped for.

Check the threads in the staff room and once you find it then you'll know what I'm talking about, I know such a thread or a post(s) exist somewhere in the staff room, which I don't have access there anymore.

Maybe. The suggestion certainly does have merit. I still kind of think that they should be held in archive until Fliggerty is ready to unveil the new Modding History site. Hopefully that will come with a Skyrim section to GHF-DL, because I have a couple of Skyrim mods I've made that I wouldn't mind uploading to GHF-DL, but would never even think of uploading to any other site.

EDIT: save THoS, which was already experiencing the error by the time my mods were ready to go.

Well, until Fligg has more time to change that on GHF-DL then why not start using that empty category as it is.  Just make an announcement about it and explain what the recent changes are.  I think most people would appreciate that.

Today I tried to load THoS and now I got this error.

Template Error: The template file must be given (or the template could not be opened)

Yeah that's the error I've been getting for a while too. We'll just have to be a bit more patient, Fliggerty will get everything sorted when he has time to work on the site.

Sure, we need to wait, but I'm sure a lot of people will either upload their mods as an attachment into a post rather than use the "Other" category on GHF-DL or just *abandon* GHF and upload their mods elsewhere.

So I think it would be better to post an announcement about a temporary change until THoS is back online, just to tell people to use the "Other" category on GHF-DL for Skyrim mods instead of uploading a mod on THoS.

I got a 404 error on THoS today and when I get that kind of an error is the same as being permanently defunct, unless Fliggerty is already working on the site by just taking it off line for the time being.

But the mods and all other stuff there e.g a temporary members gallery are now gone and I doubt modders will upload their mods on GHF-DL, instead they'll probably abandon GHF for good at least for hosting mods.

This is what I was afraid of regarding THoS and that means some mods are temporary lost plus a lot of pictures in the members gallery there.  :saddy:
