Maria of Morrowind says "hey there"

We just watched The Count of Monte Cristo (a newer version but forget which one) the other day so picture a beautiful night sky with a balloon floating down and a lady (or is she a pirate?) gliding over and saying "Greetings" oh so casually...

Well, hmmm, about me...  I love computer games and love coming up with stories for the series I am planning for my someday-my-girls-will-be-grown-and-at-college-and-i-will-be-free time to actually create them.  I hate these intro threads so might spice things up a bit to see if anyone actually reads these...  (I am addicted to these " ... " and often throw them in for no other reason then they look cute)

I am probably one of the older ones on here, in my 40's, but who cares, right?  My ambition when I grow up is to become a new Goddess of War, Wisdom and Weaving.  I think purple hair should be mandatory for a player just to experience 'growth' as a person!  If only someone could get me purple dreads  that bounce and not clip then I would sooooooo happy!  Did I mention I also love to ramble aimlessly and hope the person reading also drank too much coffee and is stuck up late at night so looks for deeper meanings...

Does anyone else get sidetracked as easily as I do?  I find myself watching those little smileys off to the side as they bounce and blink just as I used to do at the other site where I would get caught up watching Fligs sig dance...  I am weird, I know, and why my daughters have made me swear under pain of death to never reveal we are related anywhere online...

ok, so this looks long enough to show I put effort into it while saying nothing (a favorite combo of mine) so off to see if anyone else made one yet...

Welcome Maria of Morrowind, have a wibble  :wibble:

I too am easily distracted by moving objects, most especially Fligg's dancers avvy.

I can get off topic, if I have a tangent that either sorta pertains to the current topic, or if I am reminded of something that I think is more important/cooler than the current topic.

Glad to have you here. :D

Good to see another friend here. Hopefully you can start a 25 and above thread. Sometimes us older folks need a safe haven to just chill with each other. :cheer:

Have a plate.        Fine china or a shape piece of broken ceramic?

That idea wouldn't work, Skyde, the kids would try to crash it, little bastards... :stooges:

Ahem. Howdy, Maria.

I think the youth would respect it. If not then the mods can step in.  :cheer:

I was raised in the 50s.

Seriously, my Dad is old.

Welcome!

If you watch any anime at all, and you would like to see a really cool retelling of that tale, try to find Gankutsuo. It is really, really, awesome. One of the best anime ever, IMO.

That's called an elipsis (plural elipses). I will probably not thrash anyone over grammar things, but I do tend to want to be informative on points like that.  :P Just so you know, one of the traditions of GHF is that moderators will sometimes edit posts from grammar and spelling, and no offense should be taken from this. Your spelling/grammar looks pretty good, though, so I have no idea why I am telling you all this.

My ambition when I grow up is to become a new Goddess of War, Wisdom and Weaving.

That's a rather cool combination. I like to read mythology-related stuff, so the idea of combinations of spheres for divinities is always of interest to me.

ok, so this looks long enough to show I put effort into it while saying nothing (a favorite combo of mine) so off to see if anyone else made one yet...

Actually, we will eventually have a big intro thread for all the staff, so everyone else knows a bit about us. Until then we will remain shrouded in mystery. And sometimes in grape jelly.

*licks the Grape Jelly off herself.

Hmm..

I should stop, or move to a more secluded area.  Either I'll be nude in public, or I'll have to stop eating this jelly...  crap.  Such a conundrum I face.

See why Searean prefers purple hair, no one will notice she is naked with all that great hair -though she is far more likely to be covered (or mostly licked off) of that foam from the top of her yummy 20 oz Mochas with whip cream.  And to make it even better all that caffeine coursing through her veins makes her tense and twitchy looking enough that no one seems to mind when she grabs their rum from them.

Oh, a thread for us over 25's and make the subject seem way too boring to interest them teenager party crashers?  And of course we would need a code word so everyone else over 25 will realize this is THE thread to hang out in...  ***runs off to ponder such a subject header

Why must you make threads I cannot enter on pain of old?!

That's it. I'm making my own thread, where none of you can get in! *runs off laughing maniacally*

25 is old????   Geee, I must be near ancient.  :ninja:

Welcome Maria of Morrowind!   You say your not allowed to reveal who your daughters ore online.  Does that mean that they are members here or at Beth?
I think my boys would die if we were in a similar situation.  Unfortunatly I still have almost 10 years before I toss them out of the house ummm, before they graduate and move on to bigger and better things.

I think your going to fit in just fine around here!  Welcome!  :evilwibble:

I see. You don't need to watch anime, you are anime. Or Searean is. How do you pronounce that, BTW?

It is from a dragon language and was taught to me by a friendly dragon.  Silver is her name and says hello to everyone and it is nice to meet everyone.  It is pronounced by me as "Sear -ee-an" and is a version of the dragon word that humans have trouble pronouncing where "sea" = ocean and "Rean" = Princess so it can mean either "Daughter of the ocean's movements" or "Princess of the Sea".   "Shrezamdir" would be a more accurate pronunciation but I can't say it so use "Searean".

Because most of this forums posters are youth. The youth own every thread or can just by volume of posters alone. A thread for 25 and above will not stop 25 and above from posting everywhere else. But we may see people posting here who never posted before.  :chinscratch:
This makes for a more inclusive forum. Wouldn't you agree?  :nanadance:

And what, pray, are the rules concerning the traffic of administrators of inferior age in said sub-forum?

And welcome.

What makes you think we are not the inferior age?   :floorlaugh:  It's also a thread, not a sub-forum. Again youth are a lot more respectfully then most forum give them credit for. Giving someone respect will get respect back.  :)

Searean up close and personal from an old screenshot at bethforums, her new look by Arky:

http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... nggood.jpg

How weird, I just noticed she rarely faces the camera...  Was trying to find a good face shot of her:
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... 455701.jpg
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... b2f738.jpg
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... af568b.jpg

Arkeyla made some great faces that will be in Moonmoth, 2 are for npc's and one is Searean companion one.
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... guards.jpg
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... ostess.jpg

This is my first character and the one that inspired the companion idea.  Old look:
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... ocence.jpg

Arky was kind enough to make me one with purple eyes and red lips!  new look:
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb12 ... eseule.jpg

Maybe my girls dont find her hair strange since they are into anime's so we are used to it.  But I figure anyone willing to use a pirate companion wont mind her unusual choice of hair...

That is a funny one, a moderator too young to come and make them behave, cute!  So any thoughts to what our code word should be??  And "hi" back to everyone and look forward to getting to know everyone.

Code should be "old people".

Because that's what you are: old. Get it?

Oh, and Yo~ Maria.
Good to see you around. I think that I already said this though... somewhere? Maybe I'm just getting some kind of weird deja vu?

Glitch in the Matrix?
