I'll start it off with a question of mine:

Can someone give the the URL for TESFU?

and also, does anyone know where all of connary's texture mods went? I can't find them on PES.

Connary deleted all his mods as I believe he is working on an improver version.  Ive never been to TESFU so I can't help you there.

Kalian uploaded a two part .bsa here. It contains most of Connary's work, but not all. If you have any trouble DLing it, let me know. It's a permanent part of my collection.

I need a new computer and money is an object. I'm looking at this, as it's at best buy and I have a no interest for 18 month best buy card.

I talk with Connary every so often. He really thought his new w.i.p. would have been done earlier  So he removed his mods from PES. He's off and on with his latest wip and will only work on it when it's enjoyable. Which is the best way to do anything. He's a down to earth and cool guy and he's a member of this forum.

Looks good to me. You might want to think about upgrading the video card later, but other than that, I didn't see anything wrong with it.

Yea I only need to put 10% down and pay it in 18 month and it's no interest as Long as there are no late payments.

It looks like a good system aside from the 512 on the graphics card; I'd go with 1 gig if possible. Still, you can fiddle around with Morrowind via MGE without any issues and play most non-FPS games (or even some without cranking up the detail). Then again, I'm not familiar with ATI cards, so you could be fine with them as well. Just remember that Win7 handles things differently than XP does - when you install games, do not install them into the Program Files (x86) folder! Put them in something else like Games or My games or wherever you want. All of my games are in their own subfolder in the C:\Games folder (or directory if you're more comfortable with the old DOS naming system).

So i just create a folder called games on my C: and install everything there? I hear I'll need to make things xp compatible  and have admin checked. Or something like that.

Yep. For the admin/XP stuff, just right-click on the exe files and select properties. Click on the compatibility tab & select those options. You should also get the 4 gig patch Elaura mentioned earlier. I have the program if you need it.

Thanks you Jac. I've always thought you were cool (in-spite of all the trash I talk about you to myself).
It may be awhile until I buy it now as my brother will not let me use his Bestbuy card now.  So I'll have to apply for one myself and I don't know if I'll get it. Right now I'm only able to listen to music and go on the internet (which is why I'm posting here a ton). Sorry to heard about your computers CPU dieing.

Got it and installed it with the help of Elaura (her fingers are longer and slender than mine so I asked her to screw down the mother board). Booted up Windows and saw that my RAM had clocked back up to 1333 Mhz where it belongs, yet I haven't had any memory errors, even with doing a major update to Windows. I guess this new CPU is what I needed - everything seems to be working smoothly.

A new motherboard can do wonders. It's the electronic bus system of the whole computer.

That's the thing, Jac didn't change motherboards; just the CPU.  I find it interesting that his problems with RAM were actually due to a faulty CPU.

Yep. It was apparently the root of his problems with maxing out his RAM, too.  Now that he has the new CPU (an upgrade, of course ), he can plug in all of his RAM and clock it properly.  Personally, I think the original defective power supply damaged the CPU.

The history of his machine is quite the cautionary tale for the build-it-yourselfer.

Don't you have to put some special lubricate on the CPU after you change it out so the heat-shrink fan can transfer heat correctly?

Do you still have the paste? I need to know the name of it and where I can buy some. As my computer is overheating because I changed the CPU a couple of years ago and didn't use paste.

Any computer repair shop should have the paste laying around. I can't remember the name of it though. Old age creeps up on you slowly it seems.
