The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
What's on the Menu?
by Debi Dalio
Version: 1.3
********************************************************************************
1. Description
********************************************************************************
You arrive on an unfamiliar island. You know nothing about the local food or customs. Since you are unskilled at determining what is and is not safe to eat,
you think it prudent not to go munching on whatever plant or animal material you find at the side of the road as you would prefer not to spend a lot of your
time being ill. You are interested in some training in this regard so that you can become self-sufficient, but you have very little money.
What's the solution? Grab a menu at Arrille's Tradehouse!
Upstairs on a table, free for the taking, is a menu that lists all foods that are safe to eat (though you should be wary of some of the beverages).
Perfect for the budding alchemist who wants to learn on his/her own without those nasty side effects. And it's lightweight, so you can carry it around
as a reference.
Note: This plugin imparts no skill points or buffs. It exists purely for knowledge and amusement.

2. Requirements
********************************************************************************
Morrowind.esm
********************************************************************************
3. Installation
********************************************************************************
Copy the BookArt, Icons, Meshes, and Textures folders into your Morrowind\Data Files folder. If you get any message boxes saying "This folder already contains a folder named '<something>'.", click the Yes to All button. All of the meshes and textures for this plugin are in the Debi subfolder of each above-mentioned folder.
Copy "DD Whats on the Menu.esp" into your Morrowind\Data Files folder, which will overwrite the previous version, if you have it.
Run "Morrowind Launcher.exe", select the Data Files option, and double-click "DD Whats on the Menu.esp" to enable the plugin, or use Wrye Mash or your favorite plugin management program.
The file date of the new version is different than the old version, so you may see the following warning:
"The selected master files and plugins may have changed since this save game was created. Errors may occur during load or game play. Do you wish to continue? Yes No"
Click Yes.
I tested this plugin with three save games:
- Game saved without having entered Arrille's Tradehouse
- Game saved after entering Arrille's Tradehouse but without taking the menu
- Game saved with the menu in inventory
I also tested this plugin with a higher level character in a heavily modded game.
With the above tests I determined that the warning is safe to ignore. I do recommend, however, using Wrye Mash (or some other plugin management tool) to manage your plugins so that you don't see warning messages in Morrowind.

4. Removal
********************************************************************************
Run "Morrowind Launcher.exe", select the Data Files option, and double-click "DD Whats on the Menu.esp" to disable the plugin, or use Wrye Mash or your favorite plugin management program.
Delete "DD Whats on the Menu.esp" from your Morrowind\Data Files folder.
Delete the following files from the Morrowind\Data Files\BookArt\Debi folder:
- ArrillesTradehouseMenu01.tga
- ArrillesTradehouseMenu02.tga
Delete the following file from the Morrowind\Data Files\Icons\Debi folder:
- dd_menu_arrille_icon.tga
Delete the following file from the Morrowind\Data Files\Meshes\Debi folder:
- dd_Menu_Arrille.nif
Delete the following file from the Morrowind\Data Files\Textures\Debi folder:
- dd_Menu_Arrille.tga
If any of the Debi folders are empty after this, it is safe to delete them.
