The Morrowind Code Patch has an option for H2H attacks to damage health instead of fatigue. That'd probably be your best bet to start with.

Post your warnings.txt file. That should have some information as to why your game is crashing.

I would try MGE XE instead of MGE because it's still being developed and not as taxing on the system. You *should* be able to just install it over an existing MGE installation, but read the readme first.

MCP doesn't check plugins, it only checks the file version of morrowind.exe. If it's not 1.6.1820, then it won't install. I'd ask about your issue in the official MCP thread, pkarolcz0. Sorry.

You might be able to get away with making a chest piece that looks like a cube and making the NPC small - say .5 or under and only assigning the chest piece while leaving the other body parts blank. I'm not sure if you can find a cube mesh though, but I could be wrong.

I don't think that's possible. What you may need to do is create an invisible NPC (one that's a custom race with no body parts assigned) that forcegreets the player whenever they activate your selection box.
